Jamie Yates
I grew up mostly in Dallas, Texas. I hold a BFA in Theatre Arts and came to New York by way of Denver, Colorado in 1998 to pursue an acting career. I have always been called to the service of others throughout my life. In college I was active in animal rights and environmental causes. Later in life, I volunteered extensively with the Colorado Aids Project. I came to doula work as a result of my own experiences in childbirth. The birth of my sons were truly transforming and powerful experiences. I consider it an honor to support families as they enter into the great parenting adventure. I offer my non-judgemental support to help my clients have the birth that is right for them. I am a certified DONA International doula.
I currently live in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn with my fantastic husband, my two adorable boys and Sookie, the cutest dog on the planet.
